전남도, 12월 15일까지 영농폐기물 집중 수거 나선다.

전라남도가 농촌지역의 불법소각 예방과 재활용 촉진을 위해 오는 12월 15일까지 ‘하반기 영농폐기물 집중 수거 기간’을 운영한다.

이번 집중 수거는 가을철 수확기를 맞아 경작지에 방치되기 쉬운 폐비닐과 폐농약용기류를 비롯해, 재활용이 어려운 폐부직포·차광막 등 농업용 폐자재까지 포함한다.

도는 이 기간 이장단 회의, 현수막, 마을 방송 등을 통해 수거보상금 제도와 분리배출 요령을 적극 홍보하고, 농경지 소각 등 불법행위 단속도 강화할 방침이다.

전남도는 기후에너지환경부의 국고 지원사업으로 추진되는 수거보상금 제도를 통해, 농가가 마을 단위 공동집하장에 폐기물을 배출하면 보상금을 지급한다.

보상금은 폐비닐 1kg당 60~160원, 폐농약용기류는 병류 1개당 100원, 봉지류 1개당 80원으로 책정됐다.

수거된 폐기물은 한국환경공단의 순회 수거 체계에 따라 마을별로 운반되며, 이후 전문 재활용업체에서 적정 처리된다.

전남도는 지난 상반기(2~5월) 영농폐기물 집중 수거 기간 동안 8,114톤의 폐비닐과 폐농약용기류를 수거했다.

또한 공동집하장 관리 실태 점검과 노후 시설 보수 사업을 추진해 배출 환경을 개선했다.

김정섭 전남도 환경산림국장은 “농경지 등지에서의 불법소각은 산불 위험과 미세먼지 발생의 주요 원인”이라며 “농가의 적극적인 참여를 통해 깨끗한 농촌환경 조성에 동참해 달라”고 당부했다.

Jeonnam Province Launches Intensive Collection of Agricultural Waste Until December 15
Full-scale efforts to prevent illegal burning and promote recycling — Cash rewards to encourage farmer participation
Jeollanam-do Province has begun an intensive campaign to collect agricultural waste through December 15, aiming to prevent illegal burning in rural areas and promote recycling.
This campaign focuses on recovering waste vinyl and pesticide containers, which are often left behind in fields after the autumn harvest season. It also includes non-recyclable agricultural materials such as used nonwoven fabrics and shade nets.
During the collection period, the province will promote proper waste separation and the waste collection reward system through village meetings, banners, and local broadcasts, while also strengthening crackdowns on illegal field burning and dumping.
The Waste Collection Reward Program, funded by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, compensates farmers who bring their waste to designated community collection sites.
The rewards are set at 60–160 KRW per kilogram of waste vinyl, and 100 KRW per bottle or 80 KRW per bag for pesticide containers.
Collected waste is transported through the Korea Environment Corporation’s mobile collection system, and then delivered to licensed recycling companies for proper processing.
During the first half of this year (February–May), Jeonnam Province collected 8,114 tons of agricultural waste, including waste vinyl and pesticide containers. The province also conducted inspections of community collection facilities and launched repair projects for aging infrastructure to improve waste disposal conditions.
Kim Jung-seop, Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Department of Environment and Forests, stated:
“Illegal burning in farmland is a major cause of wildfires and fine dust pollution,”
he said. “We urge farmers to actively participate in this campaign to help create a cleaner and safer rural environment.”
