명현관 더불어민주당 해남군수 예비후보가 휴일도 반납한 채 새벽부터 밤늦게까지 해남 전역을 누비며 ‘민생 중심 현장 행보’를 이어갔다.

명 후보는 26일 오전 6시 해남읍 고도리 인력시장을 찾아 상인과 노동자들을 직접 만나며 하루를 시작했다.
이른 시간부터 생업에 나선 군민들의 고충과 지역 경제 상황을 청취하며 현장 중심 소통에 나선 것이다.
이어 북평면 산악회, 황산면 한자리 부녀회 등 지역 주민 모임을 연이어 방문해 다양한 계층의 목소리를 폭넓게 들었다.

이날 일정은 특히 ‘복지’와 ‘문화’ 분야에 초점이 맞춰졌다.
명 후보는 송지면 신정마을과 화산면 신풍마을에서 열린 경로잔치를 찾아 어르신들의 건강과 생활 여건을 세심히 살피며 애로사항을 청취했다.
이 자리에서 그는 “어르신들이 일궈온 해남의 가치를 지키는 것이 곧 미래를 지키는 일”이라며 “더 촘촘한 복지 그물망을 구축해 편안한 노후를 책임지겠다.”고 밝혔다.

오후에는 해남의 문화·예술·체육 현장을 잇따라 방문하며 지역 활력의 가능성을 확인했다.
송지면 중리마을에서 진행된 KBS ‘한국인의 밥상’ 녹화 현장을 찾아 지역 농수산물의 경쟁력과 브랜드화를 강조했고, 북평 야구장에서 열린 사회인 야구 리그전과 군민광장의 ‘작은 음악회’를 찾아 생활체육과 지역 예술 활동을 응원했다.

정치 일정도 이어졌다.
명 후보는 해남민주당사에서 열린 출마자 간담회와 비례대표 연설회에 참석해 당원들과 결속을 다지며 선거 체제 강화에 나섰다.
그는 “현장에서 만나는 군민들의 눈빛에서 해남 발전에 대한 절실함을 느낀다.”며 “민선 8기의 성과를 기반으로 AI·농업·문화·에너지를 결합한 ‘ACE 전략’을 완성해 해남을 전국 최고 수준의 지자체로 도약시키겠다.”고 강조했다.

또한 제주 서귀포시 해남향우회 정기총회 소식과 관련해 “타지에서도 고향을 응원하는 향우들의 마음이 해남 발전의 큰 자산”이라며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

명현관 예비후보 측은 “이번 휴일 민생 대장정은 군민의 삶 속으로 더 깊이 들어가겠다는 의지의 표현”이라며 “남은 기간 동안도 낮은 자세로 군민과 소통하며 ‘중단 없는 해남 발전’을 위한 실질적 정책을 구체화해 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

6 a.m. on the 26th, Myung began his day by visiting the labor market in Godori, Haenam-eup, where he met with merchants and workers. Listening directly to the concerns of residents who start their day early to make a living, he reinforced his commitment to field-based communication. He then visited local community gatherings, including a mountaineering club in Bukpyeong-myeon and a women’s association in Hwangsan-myeon, engaging with a wide range of residents.
The day’s schedule focused particularly on welfare and culture. Myung visited senior community feasts in Sinjeong Village (Songji-myeon) and Sinpung Village (Hwasan-myeon), where he checked on the well-being of elderly residents and listened to their concerns.
“There is no future without respecting the values built by our seniors,” he said. “I will establish a more comprehensive welfare safety net to ensure a comfortable life in old age.”
In the afternoon, he continued to explore Haenam’s cultural, artistic, and sports sectors. He visited the filming site of KBS’s Korean Food Table in Jungri Village, Songji-myeon, emphasizing the need to strengthen the competitiveness and branding of local agricultural and marine products. He also attended a local amateur baseball league game at Bukpyeong Stadium and a small concert at the county square, showing support for community sports and local artists.
His political schedule also continued throughout the day. Myung attended a candidates’ meeting and a proportional representative speech event at the Haenam Democratic Party office, strengthening unity among party members and reinforcing his campaign structure.
“From the eyes of the residents I meet in the field, I can feel their deep desire for Haenam’s development,” he said. “Building on the achievements of the 8th local administration, I will successfully implement the ‘ACE Strategy’—integrating AI, agriculture, culture, and energy—to make Haenam one of the nation’s leading local governments.”
Regarding the general meeting of the Haenam Association in Seogwipo, Jeju, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “The love and support of our hometown residents living outside the region are a powerful driving force for Haenam’s development.”
A representative from Myung’s campaign stated, “This all-day weekend campaign reflects the candidate’s strong determination to engage more deeply with residents’ daily lives. Throughout the remaining campaign period, he will continue to listen humbly and translate the voices of the people into concrete policies for ‘uninterrupted development of Haenam.’”
