더불어민주당 해남군수 예비후보인 명현관 후보가 23일 이른 아침부터 밤늦게까지 지역 곳곳을 누비며 ‘현장 중심·민생 밀착 행보’를 이어갔다.
명 예비후보는 이날 황산 오일장 방문을 시작으로 노인 복지, 교육, 농업, 문화예술, 에너지 정책 등 다양한 분야를 아우르는 촘촘한 일정을 소화하며 군민과의 접점을 넓혔다.

명 예비후보는 오전 황산면사무소에서 열린 ‘노인일자리 사업 참여자 안전교육’ 현장을 찾아 어르신들의 건강과 안전을 점검하고, 군 노인복지회관에서 진행된 시니어 교육에도 참석해 고령화 시대에 대응하는 맞춤형 복지 확대 의지를 밝혔다.
이어 문내면 우수영초등학교 체육대회 현장을 방문해 학생과 학부모들을 격려하고 교육환경 개선 필요성을 강조했으며, 해남군가족센터가 주관한 노년기 부부 교육 캠프에도 참여해 가족 단위 복지 정책에 대한 현장의 목소리를 청취했다.

오후 일정에서는 문내면 중현영농조합법인의 현물 기탁식에 참석해 지역 상생 모델을 격려한 뒤, 송지면 송호리 ‘햇빛 소득 마을 설명회’를 찾아 주민 주도의 에너지 자립과 소득 창출 방안을 논의했다.
특히 해당 설명회에서는 재생에너지 기반 지역경제 활성화와 주민 참여형 에너지 정책의 중요성이 강조되며, 향후 해남형 에너지 자립 모델 구축 가능성에 대한 기대감을 높였다.

저녁에는 ‘김민섭 작가와의 만남’과 인송문학촌 토문재에서 열린 ‘노자 도덕경 강연회’에 참석해 문화·인문 분야까지 행보를 확장했다.
이는 단순한 행정 중심을 넘어 해남을 문화와 인문이 살아 숨 쉬는 ‘품격 있는 도시’로 도약시키겠다는 구상이 반영된 것으로 풀이된다.

명 예비후보는 이날 중국 저장성 사회과학원 대표단의 솔라시도 방문을 환영하는 한편, 해남군 수협 어촌계 해외연수단을 배웅하며 지역 수산업 종사자들과의 소통도 이어갔다.
지역 현안뿐 아니라 글로벌 협력과 산업 현장까지 직접 챙기는 ‘전방위 현장 정치’를 실천하고 있다는 평가다.

■ “군민의 삶 속에서 정책 완성”… ‘ACE 해남’ 전략 강조
명 예비후보는 “군민 한 분 한 분의 목소리가 해남 정책의 출발점이자 완성”이라며 “현장에서 답을 찾는 자세로 ‘농어촌수도 해남’을 완성하고, 경제·문화·복지가 조화를 이루는 활력 있는 도시를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

이어 민선 8기성과를 기반으로 민선 9기에는 ‘ACE(AI-Agri, Culture, Energy) 전략’을 통해 해남을 대한민국을 대표하는 미래형 지역 모델로 성장시키겠다는 비전을 재확인했다.

한편, 명현관 예비후보는 최근 연이은 현장 중심 행보를 통해 민심 접촉을 강화하며 재선 도전을 위한 기반 다지기에 속도를 내고 있다.

Myung Hyun-kwan, a preliminary candidate for Haenam County Governor from the Democratic Party of Korea, continued his “field-oriented, people-centered outreach” on the 23rd, visiting communities across the region from early morning until late at night.
Beginning his day at the Hwangsan five-day market, Myung carried out a tightly scheduled itinerary covering welfare for the elderly, education, agriculture, culture and arts, and energy policy, expanding his direct engagement with residents.
■ Engaging all generations—from seniors to children
In the morning, Myung visited a safety education session for participants in a senior job program at the Hwangsan Township Office, where he checked on the health and safety of elderly participants. He also attended a senior education program at the county welfare center, emphasizing the need to expand tailored welfare services in response to an aging society.
He then visited the sports day event at Usuyeong Elementary School in Munnae-myeon, encouraging students and parents while stressing improvements in the educational environment. He also participated in a senior couples’ education camp hosted by the Haenam Family Center, listening closely to voices from the field regarding family-oriented welfare policies.
■ Inspecting agriculture, economy, and energy firsthand
In the afternoon, Myung attended a donation ceremony hosted by the Junghyeon Agricultural Cooperative Corporation in Munnae-myeon, encouraging local models of coexistence and mutual support. He later visited the “Solar Income Village Briefing” in Songho-ri, Songji-myeon, where he discussed resident-led energy self-sufficiency and income generation strategies.
The session highlighted the importance of renewable energy-based local economic revitalization and community participation in energy policies, raising expectations for the development of a Haenam-style energy self-reliance model.
■ Expanding into culture and humanities… vision for a “refined Haenam”
In the evening, Myung attended a “Meet the Author” session with writer Kim Min-seop and a lecture on the Tao Te Ching held at Insong Literary Village, expanding his outreach into cultural and humanities fields.
This move reflects his vision of transforming Haenam into a “refined city” where culture and humanities thrive, going beyond a purely administrative focus.
■ From global exchanges to fisheries… comprehensive field engagement
Myung also welcomed a delegation from the Zhejiang Academy of Social Sciences of China visiting Solaseado, while seeing off a Haenam fisheries cooperative overseas training group, demonstrating engagement with both global networks and local fishing communities.
His actions are seen as practicing “comprehensive field politics,” addressing not only local issues but also global cooperation and industrial sectors.
■ “Policies are completed in the lives of residents”… emphasizing ‘ACE Haenam’ strategy
Myung stated, “Every resident’s voice is both the starting point and the completion of Haenam’s policies,” adding, “By finding answers in the field, I will complete ‘Haenam as the capital of rural communities’ and build a vibrant city where economy, culture, and welfare are harmonized.”
He reaffirmed his vision to develop Haenam into a leading future-oriented regional model through the ‘ACE (AI-Agri, Culture, Energy) Strategy’ in his potential ninth-term administration, building on the achievements of his eighth term.
Meanwhile, Myung has been strengthening direct contact with residents through continuous field-oriented activities, laying the groundwork for his re-election bid.
