영산강유역환경청이 지정폐기물 배출사업장의 법령 위반을 예방하고 폐기물 관리 실무능력을 높이기 위한 교육을 실시한다.

영산강유역환경청은 오는 30일 청사 대강당에서 관내 지정폐기물 배출사업장 약 50곳을 대상으로 ‘지정폐기물 배출사업장 역량강화 교육’을 진행한다고 28일 밝혔다.

교육에서는 사업장이 알아야 할 배출자 의무와 폐기물 처리기준, 관련 법령·제도의 주요 내용 및 개정사항을 다룬다. 한국환경공단 광주전남지역본부와 함께 폐기물 종합관리시스템인 ‘올바로시스템’을 활용한 폐기물처리계획 확인 절차도 안내한다.

교육 후에는 질의응답을 통해 사업장 담당자들이 현장에서 겪는 어려움과 궁금한 사항을 듣는다.

김영민 영산강유역환경청장은 “지정폐기물은 배출단계부터 촘촘하게 관리하는 것이 중요한 만큼 사업장 담당자가 관련 법령과 처리 절차를 정확히 숙지할 필요가 있다.”며 “이번 교육을 통해 현장에서 놓치기 쉬운 준수사항을 다시 한 번 점검하고, 사업장 스스로 적정 관리할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

The Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office will hold a training session to help businesses prevent violations of designated waste regulations and improve their waste management practices.
The office said on September 28 that it will hold the training on September 30 in its auditorium for approximately 50 designated waste generators in its jurisdiction.
The session will cover waste generators’ obligations, treatment standards, key provisions and recent changes in waste management laws and regulations. In cooperation with the Korea Environment Corporation’s Gwangju–Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, it will also explain practical procedures for checking waste treatment plans using Allbaro, the electronic waste management system.
A question-and-answer session will follow to address issues and questions raised by staff responsible for waste management at the participating businesses.
“Designated waste must be closely managed from the point of generation, so staff need to understand the relevant laws and treatment procedures,” said Kim Young-min, head of the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office. “I hope this training helps businesses review requirements that are easy to overlook and manage their waste properly.”
