“국제 기준 안전관리체계 구축”…호남권생물자원관, ISO 45001 인증 취득

국립호남권생물자원관이 국제 안전보건경영시스템 표준인 ‘ISO 45001’ 인증을 취득했다. 2024년 국내 안전보건경영시스템 인증에 이어 국제표준 인증을 획득하며 사업장 안전관리체계를 강화했다.

기후에너지환경부 산하 국립호남권생물자원관(관장 박진영)은 10월 7일 보도자료를 통해 ISO 45001 인증 취득 사실을 밝혔다.

ISO 45001은 국제표준화기구(ISO)가 제정한 안전보건경영시스템 국제표준이다. 사업장에서 발생할 수 있는 산업재해와 안전보건 위험요인을 체계적으로 관리하고, 관련 관리체계를 지속적으로 개선하기 위한 기준을 담고 있다.

국립호남권생물자원관은 2021년 개관 이후 위험성평가를 통한 유해·위험요인 개선, 모바일 기반 작업 전 안전관리체계 운영, 아차사고 사례 경진대회 등 현장 중심의 안전활동을 추진해 왔다.

2024년에는 한국산업안전보건공단의 안전보건경영시스템인 ‘KOSHA-MS’ 인증을 취득했다. 생물자원관은 이번 ISO 45001 인증을 통해 안전보건경영체계가 국제 기준에 부합한다는 점을 인정받았다고 설명했다.

박진영 관장은 “이번 ISO 45001 인증은 국립호남권생물자원관의 안전보건경영체계가 국제기준에 부합하고 있음을 인정받은 결과”라며 “앞으로도 안전을 최우선으로 하는 경영을 실천하고, 국민과 근로자 모두가 안심할 수 있는 안전한 사업장을 만들어 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

The Honam National Institute of Biological Resources (HNIBR) has obtained certification under ISO 45001, the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. Following its domestic certification in 2024, the institute has strengthened its workplace safety management system by securing international certification.
HNIBR, an institution under the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment headed by Director Park Jin-young, announced the certification in a press release on October 7.
ISO 45001 is an international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It sets out requirements for systematically managing workplace hazards and occupational health and safety risks, preventing occupational accidents, and continually improving management systems.
Since opening in 2021, HNIBR has pursued on-site safety initiatives, including addressing hazards identified through risk assessments, operating a mobile-based pre-work safety management system, and holding competitions to share near-miss incidents.
In 2024, the institute obtained KOSHA-MS certification, the occupational health and safety management system certification administered by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. HNIBR said its latest ISO 45001 certification recognizes that its management system meets international standards.
“This ISO 45001 certification recognizes that HNIBR’s occupational health and safety management system meets international standards,” Director Park Jin-young said. “We will continue to put safety first in our management practices and create a safe workplace where both the public and our employees can feel secure.”
